We are planning on intrudicing some new systems to our RP's (dont worry if you're new, we'll go easy on ya Razz)

- advanced disciplines (fortitude and potence will become passive instead of an activated discipline, celerity mechanics will change, vampire disciplines of lvl 6 and up might arrise)
- Humanity tracking (we're gonna keep track of your humanity from here onward, so killing innocents will not just be solved by a little divine intervention from the ST ;P)
- Garou mechanics (anruca you know what this is about)

and more!

About the Humanity system, i think we should include "Speach" I.E. if you say a bad thing to someone for example a bum you tell her to "Go kill herself" or say bad remarks to innocents then humanity can be lost also.

I tend to have a different point of view about humanity. It depends on what the kindred used to hold dear in life.
For example, if the kindred was a devout religious person who believes that women should not leave the house after 9:00 pm, then going to a nightclub would cause him/her to lose humanity.

On the contrary, if the kindred was a racist who believed that a certain race of people should be exterminated by any means possible, then killing people from that race would not cause a humanity loss, because it is what he/she believes to be right or just.

But that is just my point of view.

I agree with you that humanity should be based around "how your character thinks" Though i think humanity should be lost by killing other innocents and based on bad actions as well, like stealing from charity for example.

I like that idea Aero! We'll try and incorporate that into the system, though distinctly evil actions will always result in a humanity loss. For example, someone who was a serial killer in live who thought he was killing people randomly to cleanse humanity of "impurities" will still lose humanity from killing defenseless innocents.

Probably yes. Even if the person's actions are self justified, there must be consequences for inflicting harm or pain on others.
However, killing innocent during frenzy should not cause humanity loss if the player feels remorseful and tries to make up for the family of the victim.

Also, I think of the Assamite paths. Knowing your target, even defenseless innocent ones, will not cause a humanity loss.

Well just like the Pen and Paper game, if you enter a frenzy and kill innocents, you can kiss some humanity points goodbye! Razz It might not technically be you who killed, but you are responsible for the frenzy, if somewhat indirectly.

About the paths of enlightenment, i'd love to have a chat with you about those, as my knowledge of them is rather limited.

The Official Wiki about the paths
The Unofficial Wiki about the paths

Ah, thanks for those last 2 links, i really needed some examples. Yeah the paths could be implemented for sure, but we should be carefull about letting anyone inexperienced from taking a path. We gotta keep an eye out for people who think they should follow the "path-to-do-what-i-was-going-to-do-anyway".

If you are going to implement humanity paths in the game, I think we should note that Pink, in the SP campaign, did not lose humanity when killing innocent people. I don't think it's a bug. It was meant to give hints to the player about Pink's secret.

There is another view for humanity, the Salubri's Golconda. It is not really for humanity as much as it is to co-exist and tame the Beast. And reenter the Circle of Life as a mortal human later. (This belief was taken from real-life Bhuddism).

Well, according to the assamite link you sent me, Pink should lose humanity, as Assamites are only free of losing humanity when murdering an intended target. If they murder anyone but their intended target, they still lose humanity.

Also, golconda is the central belief of the Salubri, and in the modern days it's only taught by the remaining 7 non-attribu Salubri.

Pink probably did lose humanity in that process, he was low in the first place anyway.

Most likely, the developers wanted to make Pink different from Christoff and Wilhelm, by giving him low humanity and the ability to keep from losing it.
Also, using heightened senses shows a blackish aura around him. He IS different.

Did anybody notice the bug that if you use Theft of Vitae on mortal NPCs, they die, but you do not lose humanity?
