1st - Lord of the rings
2nd - (hmm hard) Braveheart
3rd - nothing really comes up
Cant think of a third movie. Quality is hard to find in the area of movies that i love.

1st. Back to the Future Trilogy
2nd. Fifth Element
3rd. Face Off
I have a lot more, I'm a big movie/music buff, but if I HAD to choose three off the top of my head that would be them

Re: Favourite Movie
I would have to say
1.Seven Samurai
2.Fifth Element
3.Conan
4.Lord of The Rings
5.The Bride with White Hair
6.The Host( Greatest Monster movie ever)
Cloverfield was a horrible movie. They really need to stop the motion sickness handy cam stuff. It should have died with the Blair Witch Project. Which to this day is a epic disappiontment.

Re: Favourite Movie
Know I think people need to relize what real movies are all about. See anyone can make a piece of crap movie and make millions, but Cloverfield is already on the $5.99 self and before long no one will even remember it. Thats not a great movie, but something like Blade Runner that has been out for over twenety years and is still played to this day. Is truely a great film.

I know people like to think that, thats why hollywood films are doing so well... (most of the hollywood films are overrated productions anyway)

Re: Favourite Movie
Ok then your missing the entire point of making films. Films are created to entertain people. Thats why they are made. I know there are a bunch of emo children out there that act and think making movies to make money is not right. But thats why films were created in the first place. Blair Witch was the worest movie I have ever seen. Coverfield horrible movie, I watched it and after. I was like wow I could have done better with my old school godzilla figures and my dad's 1965 stop motion video camera. Quarantine was a great film and it was handy cam made. But at least it has a story and not just we are insert whatever wow crap is happening.

Re: Favourite Movie
LOL, win conversation.
Why do all companies exist? Awnser- To make money
do you think White Wolf do all this shit because they enjoy it? Perhaps, but they sure as hell wouldnt do it without a few pennies lining their pockets.
Same goes with movies, Fox wont give speilburg 50 million dollars to make a movie, to loose it, they expect earning to be trippled....

Re: Favourite Movie
dóh,
You're both missing my point. I'm saying: you shouldn't like a film because the producer has the biggest wallet and could effort the biggest explosions/cast/stunts etc (hollywood).
[edit] And I think films should not be made just to entertain people.. I've directed/produced/written/filmed/whatever many small productions last year (Film school Amsterdam), and we made these productions because WE liked it.. And yeah, it's great when the public likes it too because you can actually make money out of it. So you try to create a story that is attractive for the public.. But the money should never be your biggest goal as a filmmaker!
It's a different story when you make productions for the news or make a documentairy for Discovery Channel or something though.. But we are not talking about that now...[/edit[
And Doe, you are so horribly wrong about that. You don't make a film to earn money! It is something artistic, just like music..
Unfortunately there are people who think otherwise and make crapmusic - POP, and make crapfilms just for the money..
I'm not saying I don't like áll pop songs ;p (almost all though) or hollywood films (because I do like aloooot of hollywood films), they're just low-quality and mainstream based..
So dear kaymien, please explain why Cloverfield isn't a good film WITHOUT telling me that it's because it's not selling too well.. Is it because you have motion sickness?
